New client onboarding consists of a block of four sessions which provide new clients with a 10% discount from paying for the sessions separately.

Session 1 & 2:  Discovery! The first two sessions are for a complete diagnostic assessment, understanding your symptoms and how they are affecting your life, creating a treatment plan, and providing psychoeducation related to the struggle and path forward. You’ll come away from these two sessions knowing what your attachment style is and core beliefs are – which is very empowering to help us build strengths.

Sessions 3 & 4: Charting Forward! We will engage in the treatment plan, processing, and working through any obstacles that are preventing you from living a valued-filled, flourishing life. (Please note that in most cases treatment doesn’t end with session 4; however, in these 4 sessions the important ground work is lain and built upon which serves as a catalyst. Depending on how we’re doing, we may need either 45 minute or 70 minute follow up sessions.

Please schedule ONLY the first session when you purchase the new client onboarding package. You will receive a link to schedule the remaining three sessions after you receive your intake paperwork in sha Allah.

Please kindly note that per policy, sessions are not refunded, but you’re always welcome to reschedule to a future date if you provide 24 hours notice.

Clients sometimes wonder which follow up session to schedule. This depends on what your specific struggle is and the severity. For clients struggling with OCD, Trauma, and Borderline Personality Disorder, longer session types will most likely be needed because exposure and skills building requires more time than talk therapy.

Session duration as exactly as stated in the booking. Your appointment starts at your appointment time, and it finishes no later than the ending time of your appointment.

Clients 15 minutes late will be marked as a No Show. Refunds are not issued.

Clients are encouraged to schedule according to the treatment plan which is once per week. Clients who are experiencing severe struggles, they may need two sessions per week.

As clients implement the skills they learn, sessions are usually scheduled every two weeks, and then eventually once per month, and then a final discharge session for relapse prevention is scheduled.

Most treatment plans encompass 12-24 sessions, depending on the issues the client is struggling with. Some conditions take longer to treat and depend on severity PLUS the ability to engage.

When a client is willing to engage with difficult thoughts, feelings, memories, learn new skills, and practice those skills daily, that client has the best chance for smoother sailing.

The Secret Formula:

Sincere intention + Courageous Effort + Dua

A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule. The notice needs to be given during business hours. If a client does not reschedule an appointment on time and also doesn’t show up for your appointment, the session fee will not be refunded, and a new appointment must be made.

Clients are given a grace period of 15 minutes to meet on Zoom for the appointment otherwise the session will be marked as a no-show, and a new appointment will need to be made and paid for. It’s kindly requested to offer the threapist 15 minutes grace as well to meet you for your appointment. Every effort is made to be on time for your appointment, but sometimes clients have crises and emergency needs that have to be managed. Every effort to will be made to work with you.

Cancellations are not accepted. Please use your reschedule link in your email confirmation to reschedule your appointment. Reschedules need to be done at least 24 hours in advance.

Bulk packages are offered for the initial onboarding four sessions.

Please note this service is only available for residents of Florida and Texas for mental health services. Insurance companies will not reimburse for coaching or services provided outside of Florida and Texas since Dr. Aisha is licensed in these two states.

In-network provider insurance is not accepted; however, you may check with your insurance to see if they will pay for our services for out-of-network.

If your insurance company will pay for mental health services out-of-network, please request a superbill from us – typically after every 4 sessions or about once a month. A superbill is a receipt showing where you’ve paid for your mental health services, which you will then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Please note that superbills contain the following information:  diagnosis, dates of service, duration of service, and the charge for that service. Insurance companies will not reimburse for mental health services that do not have a diagnosis because in their perspective that is what would warrant treatment.  Now, one thing about a diagnosis is that becomes part of your permanent medical record. Some people feel uncomfortable about having a mental health diagnosis on their file while other people feel totally comfortable. Please contact us if you have more questions regarding the pros and cons of having a mental health diagnosis in your medical record.

**You can use your HSA/FSA card to pay for services at the time of booking. Services cannot be paid for with the HSA/FSA card retroactively.

Questions to ask your insurance company:

  1. Do you pay for mental health services out-of-network?
  2. If so, how much will be covered? (Usually, they will give a percentage or dollar amount).
  3. Is there a yearly maximum amount OR number of sessions that I can be reimbursed for?
  4. Is this only after a certain yearly deductible amount is met and if so how much is that?
  5. Are virtual visits (telehealth) eligible for reimbursement?
  6. How long does it typically take to be reimbursed after the bill is submitted?
  7. Do I need pre-authorization or a referral from anyone like a primary care physician or anyone else to receive mental health care services?
  8. How do I submit claims?
  9. Is there anything else I need to know about utilizing my out-of-network benefits (limitations, rules, or other “small print” things to know)?

It is understandable that clients have busy lives, so we try not to give an exorbitant amount of homework, but the reality is that we’re sure you want what we work on in session to affect your life. The only way to do that is to take theory to the practice field.

To make life changes, we have to practice making life change.

For a very large percentage of people across all faiths, spirituality has proven to be an instrumental tool in helping individuals find meaning, heal, and develop strength and resilience. As an Aalimah and therapist, I endeavor to provide comfortable, loving care at the level my clients feel is most optimal for them.

We are all works in progress and reach different stages and levels at various times. My goal is to help my clients reach where they aspire toward.

If you are located outside of Florida, Texas, or Vermont, you will be a coaching client or I will provide ‘faith-based counseling’ which includes a framework of counseling related to Islamic principles as I am a qualified Aalimah with a six-year degree in Islamic studies. Because I am an experienced therapist, you will greatly benefit because of the high level of training and education therapists undergo.

If I work with you as a coach, however, I will not be able to correspond with teachers or other mental health professionals from a clinical perspective. As I do not take insurance, payment is still out of pocket, and superbills cannot be created.

Please call 988, 911, or go to your local emergency room in the event any of the following may apply to you:

    • having thoughts of suicide
    • have tried to commit suicide
    • are hurting yourself through any means
    • feel you may hurt someone else

After your life or anyone else’s life are not in danger, then please make an appointment to be seen. This practice is not equipped to provide emergency, crisis care.

Chat-based counseling is not provided at this time.

Dr. Aisha does not engage in court appearances for any reason.

I can absolutely appreciate the need for access to healthcare for men; however, this practice focuses exclusively on the needs of women.

Marriage counseling is not provided. Care is provided to women and teens 13 years old and up.
