A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule. The notice needs to be given during business hours. If a client does not reschedule an appointment on time and also doesn’t show up for your appointment, the session fee will not be rescheduled, and a new appointment must be made.
Clients are given a grace period of 15 minutes to meet for the appointment otherwise the session will be marked as a no-show, and a new appointment will need to be made and paid for. It’s kindly requested to offer the threapist 15 minutes grace as well to meet you for your appointment. Every effort is made to be on time for your appointment, but sometimes clients have crises and emergency needs that have to be managed. Every effort to will be made to work with you.
Cancellations are not accepted. Please use your reschedule link in your email confirmation to reschedule your appointment. Reschedules need to be done at least 24 hours in advance.
Please note we provide superbills upon request for clients in Florida, Texas, Michigan, Virginia, and Vermont for mental health services.
In-network provider insurance is not accepted; however, you may check with your insurance to see if they will pay for our services for out-of-network.
If your insurance company will pay for mental health services out-of-network, please request a superbill from us – typically after every 4 sessions or about once a month. A superbill is a receipt showing where you’ve paid for your mental health services, which you will then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Please note that superbills contain the following information: diagnosis, dates of service, duration of service, and the charge for that service. Insurance companies will not reimburse for mental health services that do not have a diagnosis because in their perspective that is what would warrant treatment.
We cannot guarantee your insurance company will pay for some or any of your services since we are considered out of network. Please call your insurance company before scheduling if you would like to see if they will share the costs of your care.
Questions to ask your insurance company:
For a very large percentage of people across all faiths, spirituality has proven to be an instrumental tool in helping individuals find meaning, heal, and develop strength and resilience. As an Aalimah and therapist, I endeavor to provide comfortable, loving care at the level my clients feel is most optimal for them.
We are all works in progress and reach different stages and levels at various times. My goal is to help my clients reach where they aspire toward.
If you are located outside of Florida, Texas, Michigan, Virginia, or Vermont, you will be a coaching client or I will provide ‘faith-based counseling’ which includes a framework of counseling related to Islamic principles as I am a qualified Aalimah with a six-year degree in Islamic studies. Because I am an experienced therapist, you will greatly benefit because of the high level of training and education therapists undergo.
If I work with you as a coach, however, I will not be able to correspond with teachers or other health professionals from a clinical perspective. As I do not take insurance, payment is still out of pocket, and superbills or supportive documents (letters, notes, and the like cannot be created or issued).
Please call 988, 911, or go to your local emergency room in the event any of the following may apply to you:
After your life or anyone else’s life are not in danger, then please make an appointment to be seen. This practice is not equipped to provide emergency, crisis care.
Chat-based counseling is not provided at this time.
Dr. Aisha does not engage in court appearances for any reason.
I can absolutely appreciate the need for access to healthcare for men; however, this practice focuses exclusively on the needs of women. Male (or anyone else) should not appear in the sessions or in the room while clients are undergoing therapy. This is so that clients can have a safe space to freely speak about their struggles.
Marriage counseling is not provided. Care is provided to women and teens 13 years old and up.
